Development of public exposure scenarios for land sites with residual radioactive contamination

The article considers the experience of development public exposure scenarios for land sites with residual radioactive contamination on example three located in Moscow and St. Petersburg. study was intended to identify anticipated groups users select parameters calculating radiation doses. Exposure regarding use living or working were described by such as duration stay, staying indoors outdoors, physical activity, etc. pathways selected identified using conceptual site model approach. For calculations within a number scenarios, geomigration modeling radionuclide transport environment performed GeRa code. doses population calculated Ecorad-Aqua software module. Doses each pathway. demonstrates that proposed scenario “Office worker” can be applied various are planned placing administrative, industrial, scientific, commercial buildings structures, “Construction – construction excavation activities underway. “Resident” allow its application multiapartment residential large cities. In future, it is practical develop typical an outdoor worker whose activity provide care maintenance site. These used ready-made solutions from radioactivity at nuclear under decommissioning remediated areas.
